Calling all trend fiends, interior designer masters, beauty buffs, and decor gurus! The 2015 Pantone color of the year is here! The coming year's color is...

Marsala is named after the city in Sicily where Italian wine is grown and harvested. Much like the wine, this deep red hue keeps it classy, but can also have a rustic feel. You can find out more about from Pantone here.

Lucky for us, Marsala has technically been on the trend market for some time now. How you ask? It's undeniably similar hue with Oxblood Red. Oxblood Red has been such a great fall/winter color for the past two years. So much so that I'm amazed a similar color was chosen as the 2015 color of the year. Without looking at the Pantone color numbers, can you guess which one is Marsala and which one is Oxblood Red?

If you guessed that Marsala is the one on the right, (without cheating) you got it right! Aren't they so alike? Marsala is similar to Oxblood Red due to its shade of wine. It's more of a muted color, but beyond that, unless they're side to side, it's hard to tell the difference!

For all you trend fiends out there, here's your mini one stop shop for blogs/articles with the 2015 Color of the Year!

Have a lovely day!
