Fashion Favorites: The Oscars 2016.

Monday, February 29, 2016

Well, last night was certainly one of the most controversial nights in Hollywood. With Chris Rock hosting the "#OscarsSoWhite Awards", there were definitely some awkward moments. From a surprise appearance by Stacey Dash to the weird short monologue by Sacha Baron Cohen, some moments definitely got us like...

But anyway, let's move my favorite part of any awards show... the red carpet of course!

Chrissy Teigen in Marchesa
Pretty Chrissy is just the best, and not to mention gorgeous! This gown accentuates her lovely mommy curves in all the right places and in such a classy way. If you've read my previous fashion posts, you Marchesa is one of my absolute faves and this definitely confirms it.

Jennifer Lawrence in Dior
We all know J-Law slays every carpet, so this is no exception. I love the flow of the dress and how everything complements another. From the tones of her hair to the fabrics matching her skin tone, it is just perfection.

Brie Larson in Gucci
Being that her and Jennifer are somewhat the same body type, it's no surprise that they gravitated to the same cut in gowns. However, the variance in design makes the world of difference. The pleated ruffles gave this beautiful dress such body without appearing heavy and embellished belt adds just enough touch of shimmer & pop.

Charlize Theron in Dior
Talk about a goddess. She literally looks like she came fresh out her J'adore commercial, simple yet so flawless. There's not much more to say other than how amazing she looks!

Priyanka Chopra in Zuhair Murad
Lots of ladies were in white last night, but out of all, this number has to be my favorite. It complements her curves and the underlying fabric seemlessly matches he skin tone. Her simple and low ponytail gives room for her detailed dress, making it such a polished look.

There were other gorgeous gowns on the carpet last night, but these were definitely the ones that caught my eye! Did I miss one that you like? Let me know! :)
